The Shell

A Veil for the Exquisite Soul Within.

In a world often preoccupied with judgments and pre-disposed conclusions, it is not uncommon for the true essence of an individual to be obscured by their outer shell:  However, a story of a man's life teaches us that beauty can truly lie beneath the surface, where an exquisite pearl of his soul can be found.

We pass by unassuming individuals every day and little do we know what adversity, hardship or countless setbacks they face.

Men in general are hardwired to be the tough guy, the defender, the stoic, their outer shell as tough as their inner being without showing feeling or sharing complaints.

Yet these very men can cultivate a spirit of resilience and compassion, along with the value of empathy and the importance of kindness built from those setbacks and hardships.  It's a choice.

One man in particular loves to play music from deep down in his soul, and shares his time performing at senior centers and nursing homes, bringing comfort and solace to the residents through song.

It's not just his music talent that makes his soul exquisite.  It is his unwavering optimism in the face of adversity, his ability to find beauty in the simplest of moments, and his genuine care for all living things and beings.

He has light.  A radiating warmth of human kindness that makes everyone he meets feel valued and appreciated.

In a world where appearances often take precedence, this story is a powerful reminder that the true essence of a person cannot be judged by their outer shell.

This man's life exemplifies his content of his character and the genuine compassion for others.

This man's exquisite pearl of a soul reminds us all that beneath the surface, there is a treasure waiting to be discovered in every individual we encounter.

Reach for it and remove the veil.
