You are born with simplicity and innocence.  You learned from those who surrounded you at birth and thereon about your importance.  You may have been taught to love yourself and you may have not.

You may think you know how. And some are unaware of what it loving yourself truly means.

Loving yourself first is the strongest foundation you will create for yourself, and it is upon which all other forms of love are built whether you are a man, a woman and all other genders describing yourself.

This foundation is an act of self-compassion, treating yourself with respect, kindness and self-worth.

When you love yourself, not in a selfish or arrogant way, you set the standard how others will love and treat you..  Keep in mind, the individuals you encounter may or may not love themselves and they will or will not be able to carry their weight of doing what's right.  Knowing the importance of loving yourself will factor who you choose to stay in your life, those you'll set boundaries with and those who will have to be removed from your life if they can not change.  You will have the power to forgive them, and it may mean those individuals were only meant to be with you for a season. 



And that's okay.

Your well-being is a sacrifice and. by empowering yourself to lead a more joyful, healthier and positive life, you become better equipped to give and receive love in meaningful ways.

Loving oneself is not a luxury but a necessity for a fulfilling and balanced existence.
